My Story 

Sophie Taillefer is a French-Canadian singer, stage director, and vocal coach. Ms. Taillefer came to the United States to study at the prestigious Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia, PA.

She sang genres ranging from pop, musical theater, jazz, to opera; she was featured in roles such as Carmen, Suzuki, and Maddelena. She sang in musicals Kiss Me Kate, West Side Story, The Sound Of Music and more.  She was also a back up singer for Canadian's pop singers David Foster and Diane Dufresne.

Sophie Taillefer’s latest creative venture is as the founder and director of Rising Stars Voice Studio, where she shares and teaches her love of music with the younger generation. Sophie has directed the Rising Stars in many shows, events, and full productions such as Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast, Annie, and The Little Mermaid.

Ms. Taillefer has remodeled her program with online teaching, using some of the latest technology to bring her lessons closer to a one on one experience for her students. She hopes that her teaching can enable the Rising Stars to achieve their goals.
